Warrior pose takes a variety of different forms. Try the Warrior I pose with one leg lunging forward, one leg angled back behind you, torso straight up and arms pointing straight up, hands touching over the crown of your head. This pose strengthens muscles and increases your body’s balance and stability.
Stand on your right leg with your body straight up and down. Turn the foot of your left leg into the thigh of your right leg, so that the knee of your left leg extends outward. Put your hands together in a prayer position over your chest. This position strengthens your leg muscles and builds focus. To finish the pose, switch the leg you’re standing on.
Get down on your hands and knees, then arch your back toward the ceiling and drop your head down to stare at your belly button. This position bends the back and opens up the spine; it’s great to stretch your back after a night of rest.
Sitting cross-legged on the ground, twist your back from one side to the other, extending your arms to your side. This pose will stretch your back and energize your body.
